Support

We recognise that getting help for your eating disorder can be a lonely and difficult process but there are many organisations out there can help ease the isolation.

Support groups are a great way of meeting other men and women experiencing eating distress. By attending regular meetings you can share your thoughts and feelings, your eating habits and learn about coping strategies that will help you with your illness. Staff will be empathetic and understanding and may also be able to offer extra support along side support you are getting from a counsellor or psychotherapist.

In this section is a list of organisations and their contact details. Their existence on this list does not mean we support or endorse any of the groups mentioned.

If you are part of a group that is not mentioned and not on this list and would like to see it here, please get in touch and we will add it as soon as we can.

We hope you find this list helpful. If you have any positive experiences of attending a group please let us know as we would love to feature it on the web site.
