New services have been announced over the past twelve months including face to face and online peer support groups.
Our London men’s and carers eating disorders peer support group started in April. Funded by Make My Day Better Foundation (charitable arm of Lotus Group and Dial A Flight). The group is the first outside of our home city of Brighton and Hove and the first of it’s kind in the capital.
The Brighton & Hove Eating Disorders Peer Support Service (BHEDS Peer 2 Peer) has been re-commissioned by NHS Brighton & Hove following a successful pilot. The service includes three monthly meeting groups for adult men, women and carers’ living in Brighton anxd Hove. MGEDT leads organisation for the service in partnership with As You Are, The Carer’s Centre for Brighton & Hove and the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
In September we will be launching a new service for West Sussex as an expansion of BHEDS Peer 2 Peer (Pans Sussex) commissioned by NHS West Sussex. Two mixed gender monthly meeting groups will be set up in Worthing and Horsham.
