Fundraise for us

MGEDT relies on fundraisers to support our work so we can continue to campaign and raise awareness as well as provide essential services to support men with eating disorders. Anyone from any location can fund raise for us and you don’t necessarily have to have previous experience of an eating disorder – we welcome and value the support of people from all walks of life.

There are various ways you can fundraise for MGEDT. For instance, there are numerous sponsored events like marathons and fun runs that take place nationally throughout the year. If sponsored events like this is not your cup of teas you could try organising your own fundraising event.

Stuck for ideas? Here are some examples of people and groups who have fundraised for us…

In February 2013 Tan Quddus, a personal trainer from Surrey, raised over £1000 by running the Silverstone Half Marathon. The funds raised will go towards essential peer support services for those affected by eating disorders in males.

Men celebrating

In November 2010 the Birmingham band the ‘Glass Gods’ became the ‘Tash Gods’ as they ran a short fun run is mustaches along Hove sea front as part of ‘Tash Dash’
